Gemcitabine is an anti-cancer chemotherapy drug. It is used for pancreas cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, bladder cancer, soft-tissue sarcoma, metastatic breast cancer, and ovarian cancer.
Gemcitabine is classified as an antimetabolite. Gemcitabine inhibits an enzyme essential to DNA synthesis. As a result, the cells cannot correctly divide, and thus die.
Gemcitabine can be given alone or in combination with other medications or therapies, such as radiation. Side effects can be increased when given together with radiotherapy. Therefore, there should be at least seven days between those two treatments.
Gemcitabine is given by slow injection into a vein. A pill form is still not available.

How to Increase Efficacy Of Gemcitabine
There are different types of chemotherapy enhancement. Some natural substances can reduce the side effects, some others have similar effects and therefore acting synergistically. The goal of this article is to show that natural substances can be used to improve the chemotherapy outcome. Of course, any treatment should be observed by an experienced physician. It is essential to know the right moment of application, the exact dosage and to have the right formulation.
For my therapies, I only use certified natural products which are mainly applied intravenously into the bloodstream. By doing this, we ensure to have the highest concentration inside and around the tumor cells.
